I am a dyslexic, and Chat GPT has changed my life.

Bonjour, as someone who has lived with dyslexia for as long as I can remember, I understand the difficulties it can present in terms of reading and understanding long-form text. While I am not an expert on the subject, I would like to share a bit of my personal experience with it.

For me, dyslexia has been a constant struggle when it comes to reading and comprehending long-form copy. The mere thought of reading out loud in front of an audience fills me with nerves and self-doubt, making it nearly impossible for me to do. As a result, I have often found myself avoiding writing long sentences altogether, making tasks like writing this document a daunting prospect in the past.

Initially, my parents denied my dyslexia and told friends and family that I had not been able to learn to read and write properly due to a previous ear infection. This was followed by years of extra tutoring with specialists. Unfortunately, dyslexia is still viewed as a disability or an illness to be cured in France, and even more so in other countries. It took me until my 30s to understand that my dyslexia is an integral part of me, much like the colour of my hair. I cannot change it and just like I will never be a blond Nordic-looking man, I will never be an excellent copywriter. But that's okay, as it has given me a unique ability for creativity and thinking outside the box.

While it's important to understand and accept our differences, the reality is that even in the most progressive countries, navigating daily life and career growth as a dyslexic can be a significant challenge. To be able to run my branding consultancy and create courses and workshops, I have had to develop unique strategies and tools, which have taken me years to master. However, a month ago, I discovered and started using Chat GBT, which has made a significant impact on my ability to navigate these challenges.

It is, without a doubt, a revolutionary tool. It's like having an assistant sitting next to me, helping me organize my thoughts, structure my text, review my content, and make it sound polished and professional without any judgment or criticism. And the best part is that it's all accessible for free.

This tool has given me the confidence to stand alongside my peers and clients. I can now write long emails, website copy, and strategies without having to set aside several days in my calendar. I am hopeful for the next generation of dyslexic and neurodiverse individuals who will have access to this powerful tool.

It's worth noting that this article was created in partnership with Chat GPT OpenAI and the thoughts and experiences shared are all personal.
