When I left PR agency land to set up my own thing, my only plan was to replace my salary within three months or get a job.
I started with client work. Then, while trying to raise my profile for my first book, I started hosting workshops, speaking at events, appearing on podcasts and writing for other people.
Then some of those things started to pay.
I'd spent my career thinking that if you worked in PR, you made money doing PR for clients. I hadn't considered that the things I knew could make money in all sorts of other ways.
If you'd told me then that one day I wouldn't have any PR clients at all, but would still be making a living from everything I'd learnt along the way, I wouldn't have believed you.
Yet here I am, doing exactly that from rural France, while learning French and doing school pick-up and drop-off for three mini people.
I know how frustrating it is that we can't attend events in person. So, I wanted to share the zine I created and the steps you need to take.
