Every two months, I create an extensive directory of opportunities to pitch yourself.

Here is the slightly delayed last directory. I will be sending out form to submit your own opportunities for the next directory very soon.

Remember: one size fits no-one. Read the forms, listen to the podcasts. Don’t spray and pray. I’ve taught you bette than that.

Pick 1-2 that are a great fit and take your time to pitch. Have the courtesy to know your audiences align before you contact them.

And in the meantime, keep on hyping.

Hay Festival Illustrator in Residence 2026
An amazing chance for one emerging illustrator to step into the spotlight at the UK’s biggest literary festival. You’ll design the festival’s programme cover, create assets for their marketing and merch teams, and be part of the buzz onsite at Hay-on-Wye. The role comes with a £3,500 fee plus expenses and could be career-defining exposure for the right artist. (For: UK-based illustrators early in their career)
